Every Wednesday night John Carroll performs at the Chateau Lafayette, 42 York St. in the Byward Market at 10pm, always free. Never the same show twice since 2004, John’s mixture of blues, folk, roots and rock n’ roll, both original and little known covers create a night that is perfect for any music lover. If you enjoy Tom Waits, John Prine, Lyle Lovette, Fred McDowell, Rev. Gary Davis and the like, John’s mindfully crafted originals and unique covers will treat your ears to the vibrational equivalent of arriving home.
